January 11, 2024

Dear Barrington 220 Community,

I hope everyone is staying warm now that the winter weather season has finally arrived in our area! We are continuing to keep an eye on the weather forecast, which calls for more snow on Friday, Jan. 12, and extremely cold temperatures this weekend and into next week. As a reminder, Barrington 220 is closed on Monday, Jan. 15 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

In preparation for more upcoming winter weather, I wanted to share a few reminders:

  • For the remainder of this week, all students and staff should take home any materials they may need if the district decides to implement an e-learning day on Friday, Jan. 12 and/or Tuesday, Jan. 16.
  • If the district cancels school, implements an e-learning day, or implements an early dismissal, parents/guardians will be notified via text, email, and phone.
  • The district uses Infinite Campus for its emergency notification system. Please make sure your phone numbers and emails listed in your student's Infinite Campus records are accurate. If you have a question about using Infinite Campus, please call our IC Hotline at: 847-842-3580.
  • Parents/Guardians can also check for inclement weather updates on our district website and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X).
  • Please review our Severe Cold Protocol

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate January in Chicagoland together!
