Shop Big on Main Street for
Shop Small Saturday

This is the time of year when business owners stock the shelves with products they hope will delight you or someone on your gift list. When you spend money in your hometown, you are making an investment in your community. Historic buildings can be preserved, the local economy can thrive, and jobs are secured. All of those benefits lead to an increase in community spirit where we all find a place to work, serve, and play together; a place we are proud to call home.

Main Street is ready for you to shop big on Shop Small Saturday, November 26th! Christmas music will be playing on Main Street throughout the day. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a quick visit to all the stores between 11am and 1pm. See you there!

Use this QR code to navigate your way around town for Light Up La Grange. We will have a map ready for you on Dec. 3rd!

Families fill the streets for Halloween MAINia

Over a thousand kids came down Main Street on Saturday, October 29th, to fill their bags with sweet treats! The sidewalks were filled with scarecrows, cheerleaders, dinosaurs, princesses, and so much more for the annual Halloween MAINia. What a fun day to see so many families enjoying time together. The trick-or-treaters had the option of trading in candy for toys at the Main Street Program office. Many of them did and our supply of toys was almost entirely gone by the end of the day. This event will always be the Saturday prior to Halloween. Mark your calendars for next year!

Thank you Main Street businesses for all the candy! The Fortitude Lodge, Oldham County Public Library, The DAV Chapter, Oldham County Head Start and Oldham County Community Early Childhood Council were on site to provide activities and opportunities for children and their families. Special thanks to the South Oldham Middle School Beta Club for volunteering to hand out candy. The event was directed by our board member, Karen Eldridge, and many others from our board and our community volunteered to make this event possible.
