Intermittent LA 23 Nighttime Lane Closures

Scheduled to Begin in August

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces the extension of short-term intermittent lane closures from Aug. 8 through Oct. 10, 2025.

The lane closures will affect northbound and southbound traffic on LA-23 between Dale Ave. and Barriere Rd. The single lane closures will take place between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Sunday.

This activity coincides with continued work on LA23 and adjacent roads for X Street ramp and associated work including LA23 medians and Engineers Road island for final configuration.

Traffic will be redirected into the final configuration after the current phasing and is subject to change if/when the final traffic switch occurs before this period expires.
