Lead Agency Matrix

Routine written with scrabble tiles

ICI is hosting the PBS Intensive Training Series through May 2024. During the last session held on January 10, 2024, a group of lead agency folks worked together and discussed using the Matrix Tool in a lead agency setting.

The Matrix Took is used to implement person- centered practices and positive behavior support in a variety of settings. It allows flexibility with implementation, supporting organization- wide efforts or smaller scale pilot sites. The tool identifies person- centered values important in diverse settings and routines, works with the team to identify what social behaviors reflect those values, documents what settings and routines those behaviors will be identified, and creates a plan to increase awareness, practice, and celebrate success!

This example is a good starting place to begin thinking about how to organize annual action items into smaller, more achievable goals that are organized by who will complete the tasks, when they will complete them, and status updates.
