Project Updates:
Upcoming Meetings & City Council Recap
As the Community Advisory Committee and working group members power through the policy-writing phase, we want to remind everyone about a couple upcoming opportunities to get involved. Also, in case you missed it, the neighborhood plan was at the Eugene City Council and the Eugene Planning Commission last week. We've included a recap below, along with links to the webcasts.
Upcoming Meetings
Community Advisory Committee Meeting: Land Use
November 27, 6:00-8:00 pm
North Eugene High School Library
This is the last of the topic area-specific Community Advisory Committee (CAC) working meetings. CAC members will revise the draft land use goals and policies. Working group members are welcome to attend and contribute to the discussion.

Policy Round-Up
December 5, 6:00-8:00 pm
North Eugene High School Cafeteria
Join fellow working group members in a fun event to celebrate finishing the first draft of the neighborhood goals and policies. This is your opportunity to check in on the hard work your neighbors have been doing, suggest edits and additions to the draft policies, and work with a team to sort the draft policies under big-picture themes. Newcomers welcome and there is no need to prepare. We plan to mix, match, and move!  Please RSVP so we can plan for everyone.
Presentation Recap
This past week the River Road - Santa Clara Neighborhood Plan was in front of both the Eugene City Council and the Eugene Planning Commission. Check out the links below to see what Eugene's elected and appointed officials heard about the plan.

Eugene City Council Work Session, November 19, 2018
Staff and the CAC co-chairs (Kate Perle and Louisa de Heer) provided Council with an update on the plan's progress over the last six months. Council learned about the visioning phase, the most recent period of outreach, and the current policy-writing activities. City Council members praised the collaborative approach and emphasized that it can serve as a model for other neighborhood planning projects across the city. Watch the webcast here (presentation starts 23 minutes into webcast).

Eugene Planning Commission Meeting, November 19, 2018
Following her nomination by the Santa Clara Community Organization, Mary Leontovich was appointed to the CAC by the Eugene Planning Commission. Watch the webcast here (presentation starts 16 minutes into webcast),
The River Road and Santa Clara Community Organizations, in collaboration with neighbors, businesses, the City of Eugene and Lane County, are creating a vision that will guide decision-making in River Road and Santa Clara for decades to come.
