THIS Saturday, December 5, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm the National Park Service invites everyone to witness a  "Timeless Christmas"  at the Johnson Settlement. President Johnson's grandparents' cabin will be open so visitors can experience the 1860s frontier setting in which they lived. Cider and cookies will be served. Visitors can also talk with a chuck wagon cook, evoking the days when the president's grandfather drove longhorn cattle up the Chisholm Trail. A bus will shuttle visitors to the cabin from the president's boyhood home to the grandparents' cabin.

THEN at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 20, everyone is invited to attend the annual
