Overnight Closures at the Karcher Interchange

Nighttime (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) work has been scheduled at the Karcher Interchange:

Tuesday, September 9:
Single westbound lane closure from Cassia St to Middleton Rd
Full closure at the eastbound off-ramp, see detour map below

Thursdays September 11, 18 and 25:
Intersection of Karcher Rd (SH-55) and Caldwell Blvd down to 1 lane
Flaggers in the intersection
Expect delays of up to 15 minutes

Eastbound off-ramp detour:

Continue east on I-84 to the Northside Interchange (Exit 35).
Exit I-84 and travel under the bridge.
Use the Northside Interchange westbound on-ramp to merge onto westbound I-84.
Travel west on I-84 and use the Karcher Interchange westbound off-ramp (Exit 33)

Work on September 9 will focus on paving at the off-ramp, and along Karcher Road. Work on September 11, 18 and 25 will focus on signal work in the intersection. Crews will be using a crane to lower the signal arms into place, and the closure will create a safe work zone for workers and motorists.
