At this training ,you will learn what it means to be your own advocate, how to be an advocate, how to speak for yourself, be heard, and get what you need.

Trainings are open to individuals receiving services, family, friends, advocates, providers, direct support professionals, and community members.

Is There a Healthy Response to Stress?

Peer self-care and coping, particularly at this time, is a big need. Dr. Faheem will discuss self-care strategies, ways to combat compassion fatigue and survival remorse.

Hope and WRAP for the Holidays
Presented by Sherri Rushman, LBSW, CPSS
Holidays can be hard for people with disabilities mental illness and substance use, especially if they live alone. This session will give you ways to help support persons you serve by being prepared for the Holidays and giving them Hope! This training will review the concepts of WRAP and include a sample WRAP Plan for the Holidays.

Catching Hope: Hope Givers, Hope Receivers, & Hope Stealers

In this class, Sherri tells her Recovery Story from being a desperate hope grabber to becoming a Hope Receiver and then, a Hope Giver. She learned to say NO to Hope Stealers and ignore their Hope Stealing messages.
