Upcoming Closures

December 2, 2024

Dear Students,

We are approaching the holiday season and I want to make sure you are prepared for upcoming office and school closures. In addition to the dates we will be closed, our OISS staff may be taking time away from work and our response times may be slower during this period. Please check the OISS website for office locations that will be open in the month of December.

You may also find many answers to your questions on our OISS website.

Tuesday, December 10, 2024 OISS Closed (Orientation Week)

PAYMENT DEADLINE

The deadline to pay your tuition for Winter term is Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Make sure to pay your tuition or sign up for a payment plan on or before this date to prevent being dropped from classes.

ENROLLMENT FOR WINTER 2025 TERM

As a reminder, all F-1 international students must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits), with 9 credits for students in an Associate degree program or 12 credits in-person for students in ESOL courses, each term to maintain their status. The first day of classes is Monday, January 6, 2025.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Although the Winter health insurance payment deadline is Monday, January 6, 2025, you must pay for health insurance before you can register for Winter classes. To remove your hold, you must submit the payment confirmation to oiss.insurance@pcc.edu. Take care of this before the office closes, as we will not be checking emails or removing holds when the office is closed.

TRAVEL SIGNATURES

If you leave the United States, you must have a travel signature no older than 6 months on your I-20 to re-enter the US as an F-1 student. Please complete the SEVIS Request form as soon as possible if you need a new travel signature. Take care of this before the office closes, as we will not be checking emails to sign I-20s when the office is closed.

DEPARTURE

If you plan to depart the US and not continue studying at PCC, you must complete the SEVIS Request form as soon as possible for “Departure from USA”.

We wish you a restful end to the year!

Warmly,

Alicia Adams
