East Haddam artist Jennifer Hart will exhibit her watercolor paintings at the East Haddam Historical Society & Museum. Several of her plenair paintings are of local East Haddam landscapes, including Ballek's Garden Center, Ray of Light Farm, and Gillette's Castle.

John Olin Book Signing

East Haddam author John Olin will present his trilogy, The Adventures of Davy Match. The trilogy explores how young people confront and respond to the pressing ecological, human rights, and social challenges of their times. "Castles Along the Connecticut"

The CT River Valley has been home to influential social reformers, authors, artists, steamboat tourists, and urban transplants with modern lifestyles. Alain Munkittrick's book talk, Castles Along the Connecticut, will feature many of their historic houses that were inspired by castle architecture. Alain's signed books will be available for purchase after the talk.
Alain Munkittrick, an architect, architectural historian, and advocate for historic preservation, lives in the Connecticut River Valley. His latest book, Historic Houses of the Connecticut River Valley, includes over 300 period photographs, many never before published.

Yoga at the Museum begins Monday, October 23rd at 7:00 PM
|
Yoga at the Museum, led by Colleen Alexander, will include seated meditation, gentle warm ups, and engaging flow with holds to build strength and connect body and mind. The class will close with a guided meditation and gentle sound healing. Colleen has a strong focus on creating body, mind, and spirit connections to awaken and unite the entire being.
Colleen is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, a Reiki practitioner, a published author, and lives on a nonprofit animal sanctuary farm in East Haddam with her husband Sean.
Date: Mondays at 7 PM beginning October 23, 2023

Charles Barber, Noted Author of "In the Blood"

Charles Barber, former East Haddam resident, will discuss his latest book “In the Blood”, described by former CDC director Tom Frieden as an “important and inspiring story about the invention of a life-saving blood clotting product and the struggle to save lives from injuries on the battlefield and everywhere. A terrific read”. The book was selected as an Amazon “Editor’s Pick” for Best Books of the Year 2023.

Join us for "Higher Consciousness Yoga & Sound While the Veil is Thin," our 7th annual Yoga class to remember those who have come before us. You're invited to bring anything that supports you in remembrance and celebration of this season.
Karen Nichols and Andrew Mark Prue will provide wonderful musical sounds that awaken our ancestral roots, and an intuitive all-level Yoga flow will be guided by Erin Day.
