Thursday, Sept. 7, 6 – 7 p.m.

New! In-person Family ASL Storytime

All area families who have children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing are welcome! Non-ISD families are welcome.

No registration necessary. Held at the ISD Elementary Library.

Registration open for American Sign Language classes held virtually via Zoom. Free; must be eligible. Classes will be held Oct. 16 - Dec. 4.

Virtual ASL Classes

Mondays, Sept. 11 & 25; Oct. 9 & 30

New! In-person American Sign Language classes featuring a weekly theme. Offered to families of ISD and others in the local area who have children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Non-ISD families are welcome; however, space is limited and ISD families will be prioritized. Please register to reserve your seat.

Classes are held Mondays, 6-7 p.m. on ISD's campus.

Family Resources Workshop, in-person and via Zoom

Theme: Language Acquisition and Development

For families and educators of school-age children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Non-ISD families and educators are welcome! Interpreters provided. Free; registration required.

Iowa School for the Deaf Homecoming

Homecoming is a big deal at Iowa School for the Deaf! With volleyball tournaments, football game, Hall of Fame celebrations, concessions and so much Bobcat spirit, it's no wonder so many alums, family and friends attend this annual celebration! All are welcome. Admission may be charged for some events.
