Every month is the right time to stand together, support survivors of domestic violence, and speak out against abuse. Domestic violence takes many forms—physical, emotional, financial, and psychological—and its impact reaches beyond the individual. By raising awareness, we reduce stigma, encourage healing, and remind survivors that they are not alone. Together, we can create safer homes, stronger families, and more compassionate communities.

MAS-SSF’s Amanah House, in partnership with My Sister’s House, offers shelter, stability, and peace of mind to women and their children escaping abuse. Our trained Mental Health Peer Support Specialists provide compassionate assistance in six languages—Arabic, Dari/Farsi, English, Pashto, Punjabi/Sindhi, and Urdu/Hindi. In addition to providing housing, we offer crisis response and support services to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. We also provide crisis response support to DV victims.

For help, contact amanah@mas-ssf.org or call (916) 633-2073 Monday-Friday 9 AM - 5 PM (after 5 PM calls are forwarded to an English-only 24/7 support line). For other inquiries, call our office at (916) 486-8626.

Change takes root when we break the silence, uplift survivors, and

dedicate ourselves to creating communities free from violence and fear.
