We are pleased to share that Christ Church has some upcoming grounds improvement projects, the first beginning on August 10 and continuing in phases through early fall. With funding already secured, we are making the most of this beautiful summer weather to complete long overdue exterior work. These exciting improvements are sure to enhance visitor first-impressions and parishioner experience at Christ Church heading into the new program year!

Phase 1: Parking Lot Improvements

Scope of Work

Leveling the lot, repaving and repainting parking lines.

Dates

• August 10 - Parking Lot Closed



• September 1 - Tentative Re-Opening of Lot

Things to Know

• Christ Church parking lot will be closed to all traffic.

• Parking for Sunday worship is available for free in the lot at First Baptist Church on Monument Ave, just one block north of Christ Church (see map below).

• Street Parking is free on Sunday mornings and weekends. Those with mobility challenges are still welcome to park on the street in front of the church for worship on Sunday mornings. 

• Weekday parking for staff, tenants, and volunteers is free in the First Baptist Church lot on Monument Ave, with a yellow parking pass. Yellow passes are available at the reception counter in the church office. 

• Projected timeline may change due to work & weather conditions. Delays will be communicated accordingly.



Phase 2: West Wall Gutter Replacement

Scope of Work

Gutter to be replaced along the exterior west wall of the building, where the “Creation Windows” are on display, adjacent to the parking lot.

Dates

• Exact dates to be determined, likely early fall

Things to Know

• This work may require partial or complete closure of the Christ Church parking lot. 

• Like Phase 1, scheduled worship and weekday office operations will continue for the duration of the project. 



• More details will be shared as plans solidify.
