This includes the purpose of record keeping, the essential components of clinical records, how to meet the privacy requirements of PIPEDA, handling access to and disclosure of records, and much more.

Writing Case Notes (online workshop)


This workshop is available on June 7, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 


If you have registered for the online, self-directed Record Keeping and Documentation for Mental Health Professionals course, you also have the option of signing up for the accompanying live webinar, Writing Case Notes.  


Facilitator Marlee Rubel will help you explore the best practices in note-taking. Through experiential exercises based on case study notes and your own notes, you have the opportunity to fine-tune your own note-taking skills.  


Note: The Writing Case Notes workshop is only available to those who have registered for the Record keeping course.


While completion of the Record keeping course is not necessary, it helps to have a grounding in the standards of practice of record keeping covered in the course before diving into this live webinar.

Studies show that addiction not only affects the individual, but ripples through the family, leaving lasting scars on every member's wellbeing.  


Facilitated by Shawn Rumble, a seasoned Addiction Specialist & Psychotherapist in Private Practice. Addiction is a complex disease that affects not only the individual struggling with addiction, but also their loved ones.


Shawn believes in a holistic approach to treatment, which includes addressing both the physical aspects of addiction, as well as its psychological, social, and spiritual aspects. He is trained in a variety of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
