Upcoming Special Joint Meetings of the
District 67 and District 115
Boards of Education
The Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 and Lake Forest Community High School District 115 Boards of Education will hold several Special Joint Meetings over the coming week as they continue the Superintendent Search Process. The upcoming meetings will be held remotely and live streamed to comply with the procedures set forth in Public Act 101-640, extended by Governor Pritzker to March 7, 2021.

  • Friday, March 12 at 5:00 PM.
  • Saturday, March 13 at 10:00 AM.
  • Sunday, March 14 at 4:30 PM.

Live stream links will be posted on the District 67 and District 115 Board web pages prior to the meetings.

At the first two meetings, the Boards will collaboratively conduct first-round interviews with candidates for the Superintendent position based on recommendations provided by the Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) team. Once those interviews are completed, the Boards will deliberate to determine which candidates will advance as finalists. In-depth background checks will be conducted for all finalists by Baker Eubanks over Spring Break.

Finalists will then be invited to participate in the Meet the Candidates Virtual Community Forum on Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 PM. Community members will have an opportunity to submit questions in advance of the event and a live stream link will be shared with the community prior to the event. Finalists will also participate in interviews with select administrators and staff, as well as a second round of interviews with the Boards. All of the input gathered during this phase of the process will be considered by the Boards in their final deliberations.

While the majority of the meetings listed below will be conducted in Closed Session, there will, as always, be an opportunity for public comment at each meeting.

We encourage all community members to visit the Superintendent Search page of the District’s website to learn more about the process, timeline, and to read the Leadership Profile Report compiled by HYA.

Individuals who wish to make a public comment at a virtual meeting should notify Board Clerk Julia Polszakiewicz, at no later than:

  • 12:00 p.m. noon on the day of the meeting for Friday, March 12 and Sunday, March 14

  • 5:00pm on the day before the meeting for Saturday, March 13

During the afternoon of Friday and Sunday, or during the evening of the day before the Saturday Board meeting, Ms. Polszakiewicz wil be in contact with those individuals regarding instructions on how to call in to make public comment. If comments are submitted by community members in writing only, they will be added to the meeting record but will not be read aloud by a representative of the District at the meeting. Community members may read their own written comments once registered with Ms. Polszakiewicz. It is not required, however, that community members submit their comments in writing.
