The Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 and Lake Forest Community High School District 115 Boards of Education will hold several Special Joint Meetings over the coming week as they continue the Superintendent Search Process. The upcoming meetings will be held remotely and live streamed to comply with the procedures set forth in Public Act 101-640, extended by Governor Pritzker to March 7, 2021.
- Friday, March 12 at 5:00 PM.
- Saturday, March 13 at 10:00 AM.
- Sunday, March 14 at 4:30 PM.
At the first two meetings, the Boards will collaboratively conduct first-round interviews with candidates for the Superintendent position based on recommendations provided by the Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) team. Once those interviews are completed, the Boards will deliberate to determine which candidates will advance as finalists. In-depth background checks will be conducted for all finalists by Baker Eubanks over Spring Break.
Finalists will then be invited to participate in the Meet the Candidates Virtual Community Forum on Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 PM. Community members will have an opportunity to submit questions in advance of the event and a live stream link will be shared with the community prior to the event. Finalists will also participate in interviews with select administrators and staff, as well as a second round of interviews with the Boards. All of the input gathered during this phase of the process will be considered by the Boards in their final deliberations.
While the majority of the meetings listed below will be conducted in Closed Session, there will, as always, be an opportunity for public comment at each meeting.
