Washington County Expo


The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners of Washington County are pleased to present the 2025 “Lunch-N-Learn” series to be hosted on the first Wednesday of each month October-November. The series boasts topics related horticulture with the homeowner and backyard gardener in mind! Speakers are experts in their fields and practical gardeners with great tips and information for everyone. 

 

Program registration will begin at 11:50am with the program beginning at 12:05pm and concluding at 12:55pm. At the conclusion of each session the speaker and our Washington County Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions.

 

The Lunch-N-Learn Sessions will be held at the Washington County Expo, 1305 E. Blue Bell Road in Brenham. All Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn programs are free to the public and you are welcome to bring your own lunch and drink. 

 

November 12, 2025 – Native Texas Pollinators: What, Why, How

 

The Master Gardener Program is a state-wide volunteer development program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and improve the quality of life through horticultural project. Bluebonnet Master Gardeners serve Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington counties and have project gardens in each of the four counties. Classes to become a Master Gardener begin every January and meet weekly through April. If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener or would like additional information about the class be sure to give us a call, visit with one of our Master Gardeners at the Lunch-N-Learn programs, or visit their website at https://txmg.org/bluebonnet/

Financial Literacy Series

Protecting Your Money and Your Identity

Washington County Expo


The Washington Extension Education Association invites community members to take charge of their finances through a free, three-part Financial Literacy Class Series for 2025–2026. Whether you're just starting your financial journey or looking to sharpen your money management skills, these sessions are designed to equip you with practical tools for real-life financial success.


Each session will be held at the Washington County Expo –Event Center, with registration from 5:00–5:30 PM and the program beginning at5:30 PM.


3-Part Series Schedule:

  • October 28, 2025 – Protecting Your Money and Your Identity
  • January 6, 2026 – Your Spending and Saving Plan
  • April 14, 2026 – Planning for Unexpected Events


Each engaging session features:

  • A knowledgeable guest speaker from Citizens State Bank
  • Helpful educational materials
  • Door prizes and light refreshments


The program is completely FREE , but registration is required to ensure adequate materials for all attendees.

Community Blood Drive November 25, 2025

Washington County Expo


About 1,000 donations are needed daily to help save lives in the Texas Gulf Coast region. That is why we encourage individuals to Commit for Life to help ensure a strong blood supply is always available.

 

The Washington County Extension Office is working with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to host a Blood Drive at the Washington County Expo Event Center on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. We invite community members to roll up their sleeves and help save lives by donating blood.
