UnitedHealthcare is onboard to administer the plan, and the plan design is in progress. We plan to go live with open enrollment in November 2025 with a benefit effective date of January 1, 2026.

This Town Hall Meeting, held via Zoom Webinar, will share in-depth details of the Group Health Care Insurance Program and will be led by Chris DeLorey and Jennifer Jones from the Alera Group.

PRESENTER BIOS

Chris DeLorey

Chris began his career in the life insurance business and quickly realized many of his clients needed help with the complex world of health insurance and employee benefits. He specializes in complex alternative funding for employee benefits, as well as advocating for the needs of both employees and employers. In 2006, Chris was appointed to the Governor’s Quality and Cost Council in Massachusetts, part of the first healthcare reform legislation in the country, and helped with the effort to build the first comprehensive transparency tool in the state. Chris has experience and expertise in the areas of Group Purchasing, Multiple–Employer Plans, Pharmacy Analysis and Carve-Out, and Captive arrangements. These strategies emphasize the level of transparency and leverage with insurance markets that employers need and deserve. In addition to his work in insurance and employee benefits, Chris is also passionate about closing the achievement gap in education, providing children with the opportunity to succeed regardless of their zip code. He is a former Board Chair of Excel Academies Public Charter Schools and a current board member of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education (MBAE). Chris lives in Boston with his wife, Wendy, and their three grown children.
