Transitional Housing: Understanding Voluntary Services
As part of the Transitional Housing Toolkit, the "Understanding Voluntary Services" handout describes the fundamental practices that make up the foundation of this approach. The approach is based on the idea that participation in wrap-around victim services should be voluntary and not a condition of housing.

Safe Housing Partnerships
Domestic and sexual violence are a leading cause of homelessness for women and children, and the need for safe and affordable housing is one of the most pressing concerns for survivors. The Safe Housing Partnership website provides up-to-date information and best practices and serves as the primary vehicle through which providers can request assistance and support in strengthening their work at this critical intersection.

2017 Advocacy Day on the Hill!
Each year, the National Network to End Domestic Violence organizes an Advocacy Day, where coalitions and local programs from across the country come together and speak up about domestic violence at our nation's capitol.

This past week, MNADV, along with representatives from 4 local programs met with the Maryland Delegation to talk about the importance of domestic violence funding and legislation. Thank you to everyone who came out to support survivors!

Short Survey for Asian/Pacific Islanders in Maryland

The Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project (DVRP) is conducting a Needs Assessment for Asian/Pacific Islanders (A/PI) living in Maryland. They are surveying 250 A/PI individuals to understand their knowledge of domestic violence and services available to them in the state.

If you live in Maryland and identify as A/PI, please take this short 60-second survey. Responses are anonymous and confidential.

Once completed, they will analyze the results and submit a report on the need for culturally-specific services for A/PI survivors of gender-based violence in Maryland.
