Transitional Housing: Understanding Voluntary Services As part of the Transitional Housing Toolkit, the "Understanding Voluntary Services" handout describes the fundamental practices that make up the foundation of this approach. The approach is based on the idea that participation in wrap-around victim services should be voluntary and not a condition of housing.
Safe Housing Partnerships
Domestic and sexual violence are a leading cause of homelessness for women and children, and the need for safe and affordable housing is one of the most pressing concerns for survivors. The Safe Housing Partnership website provides up-to-date information and best practices and serves as the primary vehicle through which providers can request assistance and support in strengthening their work at this critical intersection.
