On December 20 Associated Employers will host HR 101, a Short Course in Human Resources. In this webinar on Human Resources basics you will learn about recruiting, new hire and employment processes as well as worker compensation basics during this one-hour webinar session.

Learn how the Defense Production Act Title III may provide government contracting opportunities for your company. DPA Title III is a program dedicated to ensuring the timely availability of essential domestic industrial resources to support national defense and homeland security requirements. The program works in partnership with the uniformed services, other government agencies, and industry to identify areas where critical industrial capacity is lagging or non-existent. Why Attend? DPA Title III offers a powerful, nontraditional way for companies to do business with the federal government. Under Title III, contractors may receive loans, direct investments, purchase commitments and other assistance to help address actual or projected shortfalls in the domestic supply of certain industrial resources and critical technology items.

This training is designed for individuals who would like to start their own business. This is an accelerated overview of things to know about start-up costs, financing options, and business planning. A wealth of information and resources are provided free of charge.

The training will include 30 minutes of instruction and about 15 minutes of Q&A.

This online course, presented by the Women’s Entrepreneurship & Leadership Lab (W.E.L.L.) and W.E.L.L Women’s Business Center (WBC), is designed to support women who have a business, nonprofit, or project idea, who are taking over a family business/buying a business, or who have a few ideas but are not sure where to start. Designed for women but open to all! This course empowers women with a vision to take actionable steps to move their ideas forward. This course content is based on principles of lean startup and design-thinking methods.
