At BridgePay, the security of our gateways is our highest priority. To further strengthen security and enhance the flexibility of our data protection solutions, we are transitioning to a new token format. This upgrade will replace the current 20-digit token with a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier), providing an even more robust layer of protection.
Integrations and Token Message Format Update:
To accommodate the updated token structure, all response messages containing tokens will be revised. During the transition period, each message will include both the new token format (GUID, 36 characters, alpha-numeric with dashes) and the legacy token (20-digit token). Additional necessary information will also be incorporated to ensure smooth integration and backward compatibility. This dual-token approach will facilitate seamless migration for users and systems reliant on the old token format while allowing a shift to the updated GUID structure.
Target Completion Date:
The transition to GUID-based tokens is scheduled to be completed by
March 31, 2026. This new scheme will allow for greater security, flexibility, and compatibility with various systems.
Transition Timeline:
Over the coming months, we will collaborate closely with you to ensure a smooth and minimally disruptive transition. Additional communications will be provided in the coming months with further details, including updates to message formats, target delivery date for responses to contain the new GUID token, token migration strategies and other key information. As you begin to review your roadmaps for 2025, please consider that development effort will be required in order to receive and consume the new GUID-based tokens and sunset the use of the old format.
How to Prepare:
No immediate action is required at this time, this is simply a notice of upcoming changes. As mentioned, detailed communications will be released in the coming months with details of how to prepare for this change aside from roadmap considerations for 2025.
