ABSTRACT
The webinar provides an overview of anaerobic bioremediation methods for chlorinated solvents, nitroaromatics and heavy metals based on more than 20 years of field experience. Topics include a review of the properties of electron donors, buffers, and bioaugmentation cultures, and how they affect injection and distribution in the subsurface. Injection methods for the effective delivery of corrections in contaminated groundwater, including direct injection in source areas and the creation of biobarriers to treat large diluted plumes, will be discussed. Remedial design characterization, selecting optimal injection methods, and bioremediation corrections, is the key to success.
