Tanzania’s New National Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Action Plan: What’s New and Why?

Online
February 16, 2022
8:00 - 9:30 AM ET (GMT-5)
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania is taking an aggressive, innovative approach to improving nutrition across the country. The country’s first National Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Action Plan (NMNAP) operated from 2016 to 2021, facilitating improvements in multiple nutrition indicators and yielding valuable implementation lessons that informed the development of the second plan. NMANP II was launched in November 2021 and will be implemented from 2021 to 2026.

Join us for this upcoming webinar to learn more about the development of NMNAP II and it’s accompanying Resource Mobilization Strategy (RMS). Presenters from Tanzania’s Prime Minister’s Office, the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre, and the country’s Presidential Office of Regional Administration and Local Government will reflect on lessons learned from the mobilization of NMNAP I, shifts between NMNAP I and NMNAP II, including the adoption of a systems approach and a lifecycle approach, and the collaborative process through which both NMNAP II and the RMS came together.
