Awareness and Prevention

September 17 is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day, a reminder and a call to action to make time to talk and act.


The AAFP and MAFP are committed to help prevent physician suicide by sharing resources to help improve physician well-being, including suicide prevention resources, tips for starting important conversations about mental health, a crisis management plan and more.

Cancer Prevention and Early Detection

The American Cancer Society will be hosting a webinar on September 24, 2024, from 12-1PM/ CT, featuring special guests Dr. John Henegan and Dr. Barbara Craft. They will cover a variety of information about prostate and breast cancer, including US and MS specific data, risk factors, symptoms, early detection, screening, and more. We will also have survivors share some inspirational words about their own cancer journey.
