What is neurodiversity? How can you support students who have a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD? Please join CSV for a workshop on Supportive Strategies for Neurodiverse Learners.

Lindsay Gomes, Behavior Specialist for the Cambridge Public Schools, will explain ways that students communicate through their behavior. Focusing on strengths, not just challenges, Lindsay will offer practical strategies for volunteers to support communication and build confidence and connection with all kinds of learners.

Free and open to new and returning volunteers. This workshop will be relevant to volunteers who work with students at the preschool, elementary, middle, and high-school levels.

Two days until Alice Cohen's workshop... You don't want to miss it!

How Does Social-Emotional Development Impact Student Learning?

What are the social and emotional milestones of the students you work with? How do those milestones influence their relationships and ability to learn?

In this session you'll learn to understand and connect with your students. You'll also get the tools and strategies to help them build resilience, sustain attention, and resolve conflicts, so you can best support them in their growth.

Alice Cohen is the Lead Teacher for Social Emotional Learning with Cambridge Public Schools.
