Dear Fellow Congregants:
I am thrilled to announce that the Year-End Appeal raised over $37,000 (including the board contribution). Along with the Board of Trustees, I am so grateful to everyone who contributed. This money will go a long way to helping us make some much-needed and overdue repairs as well as helping to close our budget gap for this fiscal year. In addition, your support is a meaningful indication of how important Or Chadash is as your Jewish home, and I am proud to see our community come together in this way.
I especially want to thank Debbie Weiss, Betsy Zalaznick, Christine Berg and Ilene Bannwart as members of the newly-formed fundraising committee for their incredible efforts in making this happen.
The fundraising committee continues to brainstorm; look forward to more exciting events from them as the year continues.
Kind regards,
Victor Sloan - President

Did you know that Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service?
How about joining your fellow community members in a walk along the river to collect some trash and beautify our community? Folks from all faiths and philosophies are welcome. We’ll meet at 10:00 AM on MLK Day (Monday, January 20th) in Frenchtown in the parking lot at River Rd and Bridge Street. All you need is a can-do attitude, but a trash bag and some gloves will also come in handy, and you’ll want to dress warm.
Let’s put some action behind our values and connect with other folks in our community to show it a little love!

Mazel Tov to Ilene and Carl Bannwart on the celebration of their Hanukkah Bayit on Hanukkah! Hanukkah Bayit is a house-warming celebration that includes a festive meal, words from the Torah, and the recitation of Psalm 30. The term literally translates to “dedication of the house.” The Bannwarts celebrated a decade in their Solebury, PA home with the affixing of their mezzuzot on their front and back doors.
