Giving Tuesday Fundraiser

Dear Or Chadash Community,

Giving Tuesday is a time to reflect on the communities that mean the most to us. As you consider your year-end donations, we hope you will include Or Chadash in your generous gifts.

Our Board of Trustees has pledged to match all donations up to $10,000, doubling the impact of every dollar you give.

Or Chadash is more than just a temple - it’s a family. Your generosity helps sustain everything that makes our community special: the warmth of our gatherings, Rabbi Joe’s inspiring worship, our vibrant Religious School, and the inclusive, welcoming environment we all cherish.

Please take a moment today to make your gift and ensure we can continue to thrive together. Click the button below to donate:

Thank you for your support and commitment to Or Chadash. Together, we can ensure a bright future for our community.

Shalom,

Book and Nosh at Or Chadash

Let’s join together for a discussion of the The Message, the new book by Ta-Nehisi Coates, at 10:30 AM Sunday, December 15th at Or Chadash. The book consists of three intertwining essays describing Coates’s impressions as he takes his first trip to Africa; visits Columbia, South Carolina, the capital of the Confederacy; and confronts the reality of life for Palestinian Arabs in the occupied West Bank, which he likens to the Jim Crow South.

If you don't have time to read the book before then, please read the chapter on Israel/Palestine or listen to this interview on YouTube by clicking HERE.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We will be offering delicious treats - please RSVP to orchadashnj@gmail.com so we will be sure to have enough!

Mazel Tov!

Mazel Tov to Ben Jahre for completing the Philadelphia marathon on Sunday, November 24.  “It was perfect running weather and an amazing crowd.” A shehecheyanu moment—Ben’s first marathon.
