Nighttime closures at the Karcher Interchange

I-84 westbound off-ramp 10/22 and 10/23

The I-84 westbound off-ramp will be closed on Wednesday, October 22 with single lane closures on Thursday, October 23 at the Karcher Interchange. These closures will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

On Wednesday night:

I-84 westbound off-ramp will be closed
Crews will re-stripe the ramp

On Thursday night:

Single lane closure at the I-84 westbound off-ramp
Crews will place temporary traffic barriers at the ramp
Crews will be in the roadway, please use caution

This work will establish a safe work zone for crews to complete pipework.

Westbound off-ramp detour:

Exit I-84 at the Northside Boulevard Interchange (Exit 35).
Travel west on Karcher Road/SH-55.

Temporary lane reconfiguration at the Karcher Interchange

I-84 westbound off-ramp

The I-84 westbound off-ramp at the Karcher Interchange will be temporarily reconfigured to facilitate the construction of the new free-running right-turn lane.

What to expect:

Left turn lane and through lane will merge into one lane
Both right-turn lanes will remain open
Plan ahead and allow extra time

These improvements are part of a larger effort to improve traffic flow and safety at the interchange and along Karcher Road.

Sidewalk closure ahead!

Crews will be working on the sidewalk on the north side of SH-55 between Sundance Rd and Caldwell Blvd and on Caldwell Blvd between Cassia St and SH-55.
