We envision people caring for their local watersheds, resulting in clean, healthy lakes, rivers, and creeks that will support humans and wildlife for years to come. 

Knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities for agricultural specialists and producers. Workshop topics include improving nitrogen efficiency, intercropping and incorporating legumes, and soil testing/mapping. More opportunities are available to learn and network during the producer panel and trade show.

Meet the Team!

Each of our newsletters features two of our staff members to help you get to know us better.

Angela Waite

Southwest District Manager


Angela is responsible for overseeing programming and supervising staff within the Southwest District. She grew up on a mixed farm near Hazlet, SK and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in Animal Science. Angela has worked in many different areas, including New Zealand on a kiwi fruit farm, Prince Albert as a credit advisor, Calgary in communications, writing and IT, west coast of Canada in invasive species. She also had two children and did postgraduate studies in environmental law. She now lives in Swift Current, near her family farm, with her border collie cross dog. When Angela isn't working, she's enjoying fine art, nature photography, swimming, hiking, reading, and travelling.

Michelle Keck

Agri-Environmental Watershed Coordinator


Michelle is one of the Agri-Environmental Coordinators in the Southwest District. She was born in Outlook, SK, raised in Assiniboia, SK, and spent much time growing up at her family farm near Courval, SK. Michelle obtained a Diploma in Crop Technology and has been working in the agriculture industry since 2012 and in the environmental industry since 2019. She currently resides on her husband's family farm west of Gravelbourg, SK, where they raise two sons and run a cattle operation. Michelle's hobbies include boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.
