With over 130 acres of historic landscape, including formal gardens, trails, and greenspace, Reynolda Gardens provides a place for respite and recreation for thousands of visitors each year.

By becoming a Friend of the Gardens or renewing your Friends membership, you can help Reynolda better serve our community. In addition, Friends of the Gardens receive early access to plant sale inventory along with curated gardening tips and programs that feed the plant-lover’s soul.

You can become a Friend of the Gardens by visiting our website and joining online, or you can download this form and mail it back to the Gardens. Highlights of the Fall Plant Sale

Gardening with native plants is taking part in a collective effort to preserve biological diversity. These plants do the best job of nurturing and sustaining the living landscape for native wildlife. Join Gardens staff as they virtually highlight some new additions to plant sale offerings as well as share some background on favorites that you don’t want to miss! This talk is exclusive for Friends of the Gardens.
Native Plant Sale

Saturday, Sept. 26
8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Front lawn at Reynolda near parking lot B (advance timed reservations required)
Friends of the Gardens will receive priority sale sign-ups on Sept. 18; the sale will open to the public pending availability
Visit the Gardens for this unique sale that will feature a wide variety of woody plants and native perennials. Advance hourly timed registration will be required and capacities will be limited. All visitors are asked to wear a face covering a keep a safe distance from others.

The plant sale location has been MOVED to allow for greater spacing. The plant sale will be located out on the lawn area alongside Parking Lot B (a map will be shared). The front gate at Reynolda will be open for the plant sale.

The Native Plant Sale sign-up link will be shared soon and sign-ups will open for Friends of the Gardens first. Friends of the Gardens will receive an email and have the opportunity to pre-order/reserve plants, and sign up for a time to visit the sale in person, a week in advance, on Sept. 18. Friends can both place their full order and pick-up on Sept. 26 or reserve plants and shop in person for additional plants.

Secrets of a Well-Seasoned Garden

Join Horticulturalist Michelle Hawks, our own “seasoned” gardener, as she discusses the newly renovated herb gardens and the Gardens’ fresh approaches to maintaining its beloved vegetable beds.
