Alberta pushes back on U.S. tariffs
In response to new U.S. tariffs, Alberta is introducing measures to protect local industries and strengthen trade. A "Buy Alberta" campaign will promote local agricultural products, and the government is pushing to remove barriers to interprovincial trade. Alberta is also exploring new pipeline infrastructure to expand energy exports. Premier Danielle Smith emphasized the province’s commitment to defending its economy while supporting free and fair trade.
