Calling all history lovers! Thames River Heritage Park Academy is 10 weeks of scholarly and engaging presentations and private tours of heritage sites providing the perfect opportunity for you to absorb the fascinating history of the Thames.

The Breezeline Winter Cinema Series
January 17th - March 9th, 2025
Garde Arts Center, New London
Step inside the beautifully restored Garde Movie Theater where the real “movie palace experience” comes alive with the 2025 Breezeline Winter Cinema Series. Featuring state of the art 4K digital projection, 8-channel surround sound, giant screen, and three seating levels.

Thuan Vu Exhibit Opening
Kintsugi in the New World

Celebrate the opening of Thuan Vu: Kintsugi in the New World with an evening reception at the museum. The collection is a dynamic new series of paintings from Thuan Vu, an artist and professor from New Haven, CT. Drawn from Vu’s Kintsugi flower series, these paintings explore the Japanese philosophy of placing value on that which has been broken and repaired, whether it be an object or person.

Masterpieces of Three Centuries
Eastern CT Symphony Orchestra

Two days ahead of time, the orchestra will celebrate the 268th birthday of the one-and-only Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by performing a pair of his three-movement works from the 1770s. The ECSO’s oboe soloist will be Principal Oboe Erik Andrusyak, also co-principal oboe of the U.S. Coast Guard Band.
