Electronics Fundraiser

Scout Troop 1496 is once again offering "concierge" recycling of your unwanted electronics gear.

Just go to their website, click on the photo of what you have, and you will be shown a donation amount. The Scouts will come to your residence on Saturday, November 4, to pick up what you have set out.

The electronics are sent to PC Recycle, a company registered with Washington State's E-Cycle program. Items collected will be restored and refurbished for resale in PC Recycle's Woodinville store. Electronics beyond repair will be responsibly recycled.

Keep Cleaning Year-round

Over 190 islanders participated in the 8th annual Bainbridge Island Beach Cleanup on a wonderfully temperate Saturday last month. Most people scoured the beaches, but some turned their attention to the roadsides, too.

Litter never stops, so if you feel inspired to go out a-pickin' and would like to borrow some grabbers, just email Zero Waste and we can make arrangements to get them to you.

Recycling Myths Debunked!

Don’t let recycling myths spook you! Find out the truth to some common recycling misconceptions by reading about these mythbusters. The Boulder Recycling Center is equivalent to the Waste Management JMK Fibers materials recovery facility (MRF, or "murf") where our curbside recyclables go for sorting and baling, so anything the article says about recyclables applies to us, too.

Visit the Zero Waste website
