We have not seen a link to the full written record and it’s unclear if all the comments will be published but understand that the Committee, other Members and staff, will be able to review the full record to inform their legislative and oversight work on this issue moving forward.
We are pleased that, in addition to our individual inputs, the City of Palo Alto submitted testimony which is now in the public domain. The City’s testimony reflects several priority areas for Congress’ attention.
On May 1st the UC Davis Noise and Emissions Symposium will host a Community Discussion,“What Noise Issues Should be Addressed in the 2023 FAA Reauthorization?” that may inform advocacy.
Wego back to this time two years ago when we established 4 Focus Areas: CATEX, Noise Monitors, Metroplex, and Leadership. Our efforts the last couple of years to engage the FAA on San Francisco International Airport’s new landing system GBAS have proven the relevance of these topics to move forward, and thus will remain a lens through which we will track discussions, initiatives, and to measure progress.

Need new Metroplex re-design team and resources to work for communities.
Eliminating low altitude night traffic and noise should be the easiest task for FAA because there is no traffic congestion at night. Assessments of alternatives using the right toolsand metrics* that reflect our experience on the ground are also long overdue.
