The Nampa Public Library closed to the public on Monday, November 16, in response to Governor Little rolling back to a modified Stage 2 and limiting gatherings to 10 people or less.

The library building may be closed, but we are here working for you!

We opened our permanent holds pickup window on October 19!

The Nampa Public Library began offering curbside pickup of holds during the pandemic, and we are pleased to report that, due to its popularity, we opened a permanent option to pick up holds at the window on 3rd St. S. The holds window was officially opened on Monday, October 19 at 11 a.m. with Mayor Debbie Kling checking out the first item at the window.

The addition of this permanent window, conveniently located next to the outdoor book return, was originally designed as a way for the library to provide contactless pickup for patrons during the COVID-19 crisis, and we are thankful this will be a permanent option for our community long into the future. We ask patrons call 208-468-5812 before coming to the window for pickup.

Nampa Public Library service hours are:
  • Monday-Thursday, 9am-6pm
  • Friday & Saturday, 9am-5pm

Nampa Library Director Claire Connley said, “We are thrilled to be able to offer this new service to our patrons. It will be valuable to many in our community who make use of it.”
Great news! We have re-established funding with NNLM to continue to Be Well Nampa grant through April 2021!

Because of this, we are again able to offer FREE VIRTUAL COUNSELING for Nampa residents 18 and older!

Starting Saturday, Nov. 21st until the end of the month, come ask for a free comic book at our holds pickup window (located on 3rd St. S. next to the outdoor book return)! We have comics available for ages ranging 8-18, limit one comic per youth until supplies run out.

Free Comic Book Day, the comic book industry’s largest annual promotional event, is traditionally scheduled to take place the first Saturday in May each year. However, the impact and spread of COVID-19 prevented the event from being celebrated at its normal time this year. Please enjoy, instead, this late fall celebration we've organized for your at-home entertainment.

For more information and to ask to pick up a free comic book, call our Ask-a-Librarian desk at 208-468-4474.
