From Governor Mike DeWine's office:
Stay at Home Order

On Sunday, March 22th, under the direction of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D., MPH issued a director’s order to require all Ohioans to stay in their homes to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 beginning at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, March 23, 2020 until 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2020. This order prohibits holding gatherings of any size and closes all nonessential businesses. It does NOT prohibit essential activities like going to the grocery store, receiving medical care, or taking your pet for a walk. Residents can return home from out of state and can leave the state.
The governor is encouraging all residents to read the order.

Here is the "Stay at Home" order in PDF format:

Here is the State of Ohio's FAQ page about the new Stay at Home order, this page has less traffic than the main page so it may be easier to access:

Here is the link the State of Ohio's main page for COVID-19, please note that you may experience difficulty loading this page as the governor has advised that hundreds of thousands of people are on it at the same time:

a note from the editor (3/22):
Dear Tree City (& Township!) friends,
I hope this letter finds you doing well. I wanted to reach out to you today, first and foremost to tell you that I care deeply about each and every one of you and that your health & welfare is very, very important to me.

In the few short hours since the Stay-at-Home order was issued and Governor Mike DeWine held a press conference (I did watch the press conference in entirety), I have already seen posts online that did not, in my opinion, accurately reflect the words of our governor and the Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton. Therefore, in addition to your favorite news source, may I suggest that you also go to the State of Ohio's website for information updates about these extremely urgent issues.

The leaders of our beloved buckeye state are doing a tremendous job of posting news and facts online. In my opinion, the State of Ohio is the first place you should go to, to get your information straight from the source about the events taking place. Not just today, but as we move forward as well, through these quickly-changing, uncertain times. I want us all to be as well-informed as possible, so we can get through this tricky, rough ride with as few bumps & bruises as possible...and then get together afterward for some laughter, sunshine, and hugs.

Take care, stay healthy, and keep in touch.

Warm regards,
Amanda K.
