The rioting, looting, and general unrest are continuing in South Africa, with 72 people killed and dozens injured. This has resulted in looted or burned buildings and empty store shelves, which are making it difficult for people to get food. Petrol stations are also affected. Power plants aren't able to get the coal needed to run the plants, so the electrical grid (which was already unstable) has been further strained. ATMs have been destroyed, malls have been burned, and the trucking supply chain has been disrupted. All of this will only add to the challenges for those who are already affected by COVID, high unemployment, and poverty.

Please continue to pray for calm to be restored.
