Community Update #14

Dear Community Member,

I am happy to report that BMH, in partnership with the State of Vermont, has now begun public vaccinating for COVID-19. We kicked off the 75 and older vaccine clinics on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Among those at the front of the line were Helen and Charles Robb of Robb Family Farm (click here to read the article in the Brattleboro Reformer). A total of 92 VT residents 75+ received their first dose of vaccine on our opening half-day clinic at BMH. We are geared up to provide 160 vaccines per clinic day moving forward. I would like to provide a few reminders related to the vaccination program:
  • At this time, people who are 75 years and older and live, work, or access their healthcare in Vermont are eligible to register for the vaccine.
  • You must register using the VT Department of Health registration system. If you have registered in this system previously (ie for a COVID test) then you need to only sign in, select “Schedule Vaccine Appointment” (blue box at the top), and follow the steps to schedule your vaccine appointment.
  • Register by clicking here
  • Or call 855-722-7878
  • If you have technical support questions, call 802-863-7240
  • There are two locations in Brattleboro:
  • Brattleboro Memorial Hospital: Richards Building Entrance
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
  • 9AM-5:30PM
  • VT Department of Health: VFW, Black Mountain Road
  • Mondays (and select Thursdays)
  • 9AM-3:00PM

I am incredibly proud of our team of dedicated staff who quickly and efficiently established our vaccine clinics and are prepared to continue this critical service to our community until we are all safe. Its been almost one year since BMH responded to the Covid-19 virus and, during the past many months, BMH has had the critical mission to provide care in a safe environment for patients and staff. Please join me in thanking all of our staff for their dedication, professionalism, compassion and clinical excellence as we work together to serve you, our community. And remember, if you need medical care, please do not delay. We are here to care for you!

Thank you and stay well, Steve
