Students back in school on Tuesday, February 18

FEB. 12, 2020: The Sacramento County Public Health Department recommends that returning  travelers from China should be excluded from school for 14 days after they left China. This recommendation  to exclude students/staff from school is effective Monday, Feb. 3. Twin Rivers will follow the recommendations and will continue to provide the latest updates.
Staying Healthy During Flu Season
We are in the middle of the cold and flu season, complicated by reports of the new coronavirus first identified in China. To date, there are no confirmed reports of the coronavirus in  Sacramento County and exposure risk remains low, according to Sacramento County Public Health.

To help reduce the spread of seasonal flu, Twin  Rivers recommends that your child stay home  from school if experiencing cold or flu symptoms :
  • A sudden fever, usually above 100 degrees 
  • Chills and body aches 
  • Headache
  • Stomachache 
  • Sore throat
  • Cough that gets worse
  • Fatigue 
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
To Help Prevent the Spread of Respiratory Viruses: 
  • Wash hands often with soap and water
  • Cough and sneeze into your sleeve
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Avoid contact with sick people
  • Stay at home if you are sick 
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends flu shots for everyone 6 months of age and older
