Just when many things in the world are looking glum, we have some positive news to share. GCAAR’s Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) course on April 3 is not only still on the books – it’s going virtual!

Maryland Court mandates the prompt processing of properly filed documents:
  • The Maryland Court of Appeals issued an administrative order declaring, during the state of emergency, that the Clerks of the Circuit Courts should continue to promptly process all properly filed documents that are required to be recorded in the Land Records offices.

DC Council approves COVID-19 Emergency Act; TOPA deadlines extended:
  • The act aims to alleviate the impact of the coronavirus on area residents and businesses, and includes an extension of the deadline for the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). All deadlines that apply to tenants and tenant organization rights will be paused until the state of emergency related to COVID-19 has ended.
