Dear MYSO Family ,
My, how our lives have changed over the past few weeks. We miss our young musicians and their families at our rehearsals and extend our thoughts for your safety as we move forward together.
As you all are challenged with figuring out how to study and work remotely, so our team has had to quickly develop and implement entirely new processes in the past few weeks. Our music directors, teaching artists, and administrative teams are all deeply dedicated to engaging you through new distance learning, videos, social media, and so much more.
The impact of the “safer-at-home” orders on our country, community, and organization is ongoing. As such, our programming and performance schedule continues to be affected. We are closely monitoring the effect this crisis is having on MYSO.

Therefore, it is with regret that we make the difficult decision to postpone our Fanfare and Finale performance on April 26, 2020. It will be rescheduled to a future date yet to be determined. We are actively evaluating all performances scheduled throughout May 2020 and anticipate further communication with you as we know more.

We remain ever grateful to you for your commitment to excellent ensemble music education with MYSO.
We assure you music and laughter will ring through the halls at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center once again because of your heartfelt dedication. We look forward to the resumption of programming when it is responsible to do so.
I am pleased to share this wonderfully upbeat message from Artistic and Music Director, Carter Simmons.
On behalf of our entire MYSO family, we wish you and your families good health and safety. I always remain available to answer your questions or offer an encouraging word. If you would like to arrange a phone call--or a visit when our “social distancing” is lifted--I am here and would love to catch up with you.
With sincere gratitude for all you make possible for our young musicians,

Linda Edelstein
