Hello Heartspace Friends,
I've been waiting a long time to be able to send this email.
In keeping with CDC guidance and today's announcement from Governor Cuomo, if you're fully vaccinated to COVID-19, you can remove your mask when practicing in-person yoga classes at our Heartspace Albany studio. If you're not fully vaccinated, or would just prefer to wear a mask during class, please keep your mask on. While entering the studio, moving in common spaces, and leaving, please keep a mask on as a courtesy to others, but when you're on your mat in the studio, you can take off your mask. Capacity for in-person classes is now 16 persons, 50% of capacity, as per NYS regulations for gyms and fitness facilities.
But if we've learned anything this past year, come to class only when you're feeling well and healthy, duh! When you aren't feeling great, stay home and rest and maybe catch an online class, something gentle and restorative to support the immune system.
Several of our in-person classes will continue to be streamed online, as will several classes that will remain exclusively online. This has proven a popular and enduring option for many. We do hope you can return to the studio on occasion when you feel comfortable with it again. Also, outdoor classes will be expanding in the coming weeks. I'm teaching Friday mornings at 9AM in Washington Park off of Englewood Place, just off of State Street.
Upcoming Online Workshops
Meditation 101: Four-Week Online Series with Meghan Hogan. Virtual/Online via Zoom Thursday May 20 - June 10, 6-7:15PM. This four-week online series will provide individualized instruction describing technique, practical guidance for home practice, wisdom derived from foundational yogic texts and modern research. Each session includes gentle movement, regulating breathing practices, guided meditation and opportunity for reflective discussion. Explore:

- Tapas: How to maintain your motivation for practicing meditation on your own.
