While it has been a long, uneasy three months away from Fencers Club, we had an overwhelmingly positive response from our community as we held private lessons and group classes for our members through Fencers Club Online. Thank you for your support and for being a part of the FC community.
As of June 29th, day camps in New York City are allowed to open with a maximum of 10 participants. Thanks to the hard work of our Reopening Task Force, we will be reopening the club on Monday, July 6 with our own safety procedures and protocols that meet the city's strict guidelines. The safety of our members, coaches and staff is our number one concern.
Starting Monday July 6th, fencers will be able to take private lessons at the club. Please note that not all coaches will be giving in-person lessons. Please check with your coach to schedule your lessons. However, to comply with city guidelines, only 10 fencers will be allowed in the facility at a time. The club's hours will be expanded to accommodate more lessons throughout the day. As we evaluate the success of our first phase of reopening, we will update our procedures to reintroduce group classes and open bouting.
All lessons should still be scheduled through the
FC member online portal
. We will not be accepting any walk-ins during this time. Please check online or with your coach for availability.
Please note that FC Online sessions will continue on a modified schedule. The revised schedule will be posted on July 5th.
If you would like to pick up equipment from your locker prior to reopening, please email
