Business Re-start grant

The Restart Grant is a new one-off grant to support businesses to re-open as restrictions are lifted over the coming months. This applies to specific categories of businesses, liable for business rates and there are two strands or groups of businesses which determine the value of the grant.

  • We are now emailing businesses who have previously successfully applied for a closed grant.
  • You are required to complete a very short form by clicking on the link in the email. The information we are asking you to provide will be used to validate your application or is required to comply with government rules.
  • Please ensure that you enter the information correctly otherwise this could delay your application being considered.

We will update the page with a link to the online application form by the end of April 2021 for those businesses who have not applied previously.

Spark.png

Spark! is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help prepare young people for the world of work.

Spark! is a charity based in west London which aims to bridge the gap between school and the workplace. We are organising several virtual and in-school events in upcoming months and need volunteers from any sector to support, although we are particularly looking for those in creative, finance, engineering and digital roles at present.

From 30-minute mock interviews, to presenting about your industry, role and career pathway, to virtual work experience, we are looking for volunteers willing to share their experience and expertise. As we train and support all our volunteers, you don’t necessarily need prior experience, just an enthusiasm for working with young people to help them to develop the skills they’ll need to succeed and broaden their horizons about what’s available to them after school. This is especially crucial at the moment as they are missing out on many opportunities.

If you can give just 30 minutes to 2.5 hours to volunteer, please email [email protected] to see what’s involved and receive further details.

Marketing & Communications Manager

Gunnersbury Estate (2026) CIC

Help shape the new Gunnersbury by joining our team of Directors

Managed by a Community Interest Company on behalf of London Boroughs of Hounslow and Ealing, there’s so much going on at Gunnersbury: a busy Grade II* listed heritage park, new sports facilities, a history museum celebrating social and community life in West London, a bustling public programme to name but a few. There are also major plans to further improve the park and the offering to local communities.

This all means there’s lots to get involved in - and to get excited about.

Are you excited about the opportunities for using the museum, historic buildings, heritage gardens, extensive new sports facilities and significant other open spaces to improve peoples mental and physical wellbeing and further green the local environment? Are you already involved in developing these opportunities? Then you may be the person we’re looking for.

We are trying hard at Gunnersbury to ensure we have a diverse group of Directors, with a range of experience and skills and as far as possible reflecting our local communities. Ideally, we would like our new Director to come from the Borough of Hounslow but above all we are keen to appoint the right person who has the enthusiasm to get involved. To help with our diversity balance applications are especially welcomed from women and candidates from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities and cultural heritage.

If you are interested, join us for an informal virtual meetup (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/join-gunnersburys-team-of-directors-introductory-meetup-tickets-151087467683) on the evening of Wednesday 26 May, where you can meet others from our team of seven board members and find out more about how you can get involved.
