We are writing to remind you that 211 Connecticut can help connect the residents of your city or town to emergency resources. 
 
If you plan to open a cooling center in response to the hot weather, please remember to contact 211 Connecticut so that we can list your cooling center or other emergency services in our 211 database.
 
Help Keep Us Up to Date
 
When your municipality opens a cooling center, please email the following information to info@ctunitedway.org for inclusion in our emergency resource listing:
 
  1. Location of the cooling center 
  2. Dates/Times of operation  
  3. Who is eligible to visit the center? Residents only?
  4. Is the site handicapped accessible? 
  5. Are pets welcome? 
  6. What should individuals bring with them?
  7. Contact name and phone number
