Good Afternoon -

We hope you are staying safe and warm during the winter weather that is impacting much of the country. This morning, we are writing to update you on when you may return to campus for the Spring 2025 semester.

The National Weather Service is forecasting additional winter weather overnight on Friday into Saturday morning for Winston Salem. These conditions may make travel in the area hazardous. Please use your best judgment on when you can safely travel to campus.

For those moving into housing for the first time in Spring 2025:

  • Friday, January 10: Check-in and key pickup will be available at our office in Angelou Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those arriving after 4 p.m. Friday must submit an After Hours Arrival request and will pick up their key in your community before 9 p.m. on Friday.
  • Saturday, January 11: For those planning to check in on Saturday, January 11, please check your email for details depending on weather conditions; check-in will not begin before 11 a.m. on Saturday.
  • After Saturday, January 11: Please submit an After Hours Arrival request, and you will receive check-in instructions via email.

For those returning to the same rooms you occupied in Fall 2024, you may return to campus beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 10.

If you have:

  • Locked yourself out of your room: Contact your community’s RA on duty for assistance accessing your room. Please note that there may be delays due to the weather and the high volume of returns.
  • Lost your key: Submit a Lock Recore Request, and our team will let you know when it's ready for pickup.
  • Lost your Deacon OneCard (ID): Come by the Deacon One office in Angelou Hall for a replacement on Friday, January 10. If you arrive outside business hours Friday or during the weekend, you'll need to go to the University Police Dispatch in Alumni Hall to geta temporary ID.
  • Facility Issues (heat not working, leaking faucet, etc): Submit a work order to Facilities and Campus Services by calling 336-758-4255 or submit a work order online at workorders.wfu.edu
  • Internet Issues: Submit a ticket to Information Systems by emailing help@wfu.edu, or submitting online at help.wfu.edu.

Be safe in your travels, and we look forward to having you back on campus for the spring semester!

If you have any questions or concerns you can reach our office at housing@wfu.edu or 336-758-5185 during business hours.

Best,
