Dear Sponsors and Supporters,

Since you care so much for our sponsored children in Uganda, we want to update you on an important prayer need. There is currently an Ebola outbreak in Uganda. Since this is not an uncommon challenge, the health department has developed good protocols to address outbreaks.

Our ministry partner has shared the following communication providing further details.

Greetings from Hope Partners Africa in Uganda. Great thanks to the almighty God who has kept us to this date.

As you may have heard in recent news reports, Uganda is facing an Ebola outbreak.

We thank God that we have not had any of our sponsored children, guardians, or staff contract Ebola, and we are trusting God that we shall pull through all this. We strongly observe the measures and guidelines given by the Ministry of Health and by our government in general.

In order to further prevent and control the spread of the growing outbreak among schoolchildren, the Government of Uganda has declared all preschool, elementary and high schools to close the school year early by two weeks. As a matter of urgency, the Ministry of Education has directed all schools to conduct final examinations as soon as next week to ensure the official ending by November 25th.

During Covid, with your help, we invested in motorbikes for our social workers. As long as the government allows continued movement within regions, these bikes will once again help our staff to keep track of all of our sponsored children and ensure their continued well-being during this extended break. Our healthcare staff continues to monitor this crisis and provide valuable expertise and training within our ministry.

We are optimistic that God being our helper, we shall pull through all this. Please keep our children, guardians and staff in prayer as we go through these difficult times.

God bless you all for your continued support and prayers.

Dr. Herbert E. Ainamani

Chief Executive Officer

We continue to trust that God will protect his children and this ministry and they will remain safe. Will you take a moment to pray Romans 5:3-5 over our co-laborers in this work, Hope Partners Africa, and our hope kids and guardians? We pray that as they enter yet another difficult time, they would experience God's peace and his work in their lives:

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

There's a time to pray, a time to sing, a time to cry, and a time to smile.

Here's a song from two of our high school young ladies, Patricia and Julie.

We're quite sure it will make you smile!
