Dear Equity Yacht Members on our fixed (timber) docks,

Thanks to those that participated during our most recent meeting at the Club to discuss the replacement project moving forward. The vendor referrals and sharing of information has been helpful. Here is a short recap on the planning activity that has been taking place:

  • As previously communicated, Nelson Marine will be on site in the next few weeks to begin removal and disposal of lifts that will not be re-installed. They will not be doing any work associated with the disassembly and re-installation of lifts.
  • Some Members have identified another vendor that is providing proposals for disassembly and re-installation of lifts. Once the Club has verified that this vendor has the appropriate insurance coverage to work in our Marina, we will share information with this group. Members will need to coordinate directly with the vendor for the requested work.
  • Members may coordinate removal and re-installation of their lifts with a properly licensed and insured vendor. We do ask that Members let us know their plans once they are confirmed.

In order to facilitate coordination and flow of communication, we have set up a forum for our Members to exchange dialogue and where we can post information as it comes available. This is located as a separate section of our Club Website, which can be found by following this link. Documents can be found under the file library and comments or questions can be posted on the wall.

If you have not already completed the survey below, please take a few minutes to let us know your plans (or questions). If you have a question that has not yet been answered, we are continuing individual out reach based on survey responses and a Member of the staff or Marina Committee will reach out to you soon.

DATES TO NOTE:
  • Vessels must be removed from the PIYC Marina no later than April 10, 2023.
  • Lifts to be re-installed after the project must be completely disassembled and staged in designated area no later than May 12, 2023.
Members are encouraged to make arrangements as soon as possible, and should not wait until the deadline to remove boats or lifts. Timely completion of our project will require our vendors and contractors to have full access to the Marina.
