Dear Worcester Prep Community,

As our school navigates this unprecedented and challenging time, it is our goal to keep our families safe and keep lines of communication open. Below please find information regarding school operations as we move into our first week of online instruction beginning Monday, March 23.

We are working hard to make sure this process is a success and that our students feel supported as we make this transition. Please remember that this will be an evolving process, which will include some trial and error. Our faculty, staff and administrators will be constantly monitoring our online learning in order to make positive changes and adjustments as we move forward.

Campus Access
  • Beginning March 23, parents and students will not be allowed on the WPS campus. If your students need materials or supplies, please contact your student’s Division Head to make arrangements to collect these items.

  • We understand that the extracurricular activities at WPS are important to you, our families and students. They are also important to us. While the campus remains closed, all school related activities will be canceled, however some may be rescheduled as we evaluate the year.

College Counseling
  • The Worcester Prep College Counseling Office will continue to work with our students. The office will be reaching out to every junior and senior student in the coming weeks.

Online Learning
  • As we approach March 23, please create an expectation that school is still in session even though our campus is closed. Parents and teachers must work together within this new learning environment.

  • Some faculty members may be using Zoom Video Conferencing for lessons and student meetings. These sessions may be recorded and/or archived.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation and support. It is crucial that our school community work in partnership during this time, and in the event of an extended closure. In order to collect meaningful feedback and evaluate our process, Worcester Prep will send out a survey to parents and students after our first full week of online learning.

Please continue to stay safe and healthy,
Michael J. Grosso III, M.Ed.
