Respite Rooms Offer Employees a Relaxing Environment

As you can imagine, COVID-19 has added a new level of stress for our healthcare workers. Bronson Health Foundation is supporting our employees in many ways so they can continue to provide excellent care to our communities.

One way is the creation of employee respite rooms that are up and running in each of our four hospitals. These rooms offer employees the opportunity to take a restful break in a safe, private space that includes items like massage chairs, messages and notes of encouragement from the community and fellow staff, beverages and more. You can help us sustain these respite rooms by sponsoring one or more rooms a week.

Healthcare Services
Social distancing and other protective behaviors have helped flatten the COVID-19 curve in southwest Michigan. As a result, Bronson is calling patients to reschedule appointments, surgeries and procedures that were postponed due to the pandemic.

“If you feel nervous about coming to a Bronson office, emergency department or hospital, I want to assure you that the safety of our patients, employees and community is our number one priority and we have many protocols in place to keep everyone safe,” says Bill Manns, president and CEO of Bronson Healthcare. “Our teams are well-equipped to treat all the typical healthcare needs of our community and to care, separately, for patients with COVID-19.”

Previous Patient Supports Bronson Children's Hospital
In 2018, Avery spent five days in Bronson Children's Hospital after suffering a head injury. It was there that, inspired by the kindness of her caretakers, she decided she could make a difference too. For the last two years, Avery has worked to plan fundraisers at her school and collect donations to benefit Bronson Children's Hospital. 

This year, she proudly mailed her donation of $1,090 to the Foundation. Thank you Avery for all your hard work to support our youngest patients!
