Ohio's Vaccination Plan
DODD Director, Jeff Davis, provides an update on Ohio's Vaccination Plan Phase 1B and how Ohioans with developmental disabilities are a priority within the plan.
Governor's Updates
PHASE 1B VACCINATIONS

Yesterday, Governor DeWine discussed the vaccine distribution for Phase 1B, which began this week for those ages 80 and up.

Beginning next week, vaccinations are anticipated to begin for those ages 75 and up. Vaccinations will also be available to those with severe congenital, developmental, or early-onset medical disorders, and who have a developmental or intellectual disability.

A representative from the local county developmental disabilities board will reach out to help coordinate receipt of the vaccination for Ohioans with severe congenital, developmental, or early-onset medical disorders, as well as a developmental or intellectual disability.

Monoclonal Antibody Treatment
Monoclonal antibodies are an important tool to help people diagnosed with COVID-19 treat the disease early and help prevent severe sickness. It is important for people diagnosed with COVID 19 to ask their physician if monoclonal antibody treatment is right for them. Physicians and other health care providers can order this treatment, but not every hospital has this treatment. It is done at specialized centers and can sometimes be done in a person’s home.
